Embracing History

History with its flickering lamp stumbles along the trail of the past, trying to reconstruct its scenes, to revive its echoes, and kindle with pale gleams the passion of former days. ~Winston Churchill

I often drive past Tagajo castle and think to myself how much I would love to have a photo session there. Did you know that the Old Monument of Tagajo is one of the three oldest monuments in Japan? It was erected in the year 762A.D. to indicate where Tagajo Castle used to be located, the place where the whole of the Tohoku region was governed. Such history!

So naturally I jumped at the opportunity to take photos of the cutest little 3 year old girl dressed in kimono surrounded by such rich history. This place could very well be one of my new favorite locations!  I'm looking forward to coming back here when it is full of sakura! Book your sakura session for March/April now!
