“Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight,
At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more,
When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Meet baby Aslan.
Can't wait to see this little cub grow up to be a fierce lion who changes the world!
Love watching him grow up since he was a baby. Watch out Elementary School, here he comes!
In the cherry blossom's shade there's no such thing as a stranger.
It is sakura time. When the bareness of winter is put away, and the the buds of well anticipated blossoms are full and ready to burst. Some have quietly snuck out already but it won't be long until they are joined with thousands of more petals for all to marvel at.
In celebration of sakura, here are a few of my favourite local locations.
1. Iwakiri Castle - a haven for large mountain sakura. The perfect location for a picnic in perfect peace with the most magnificent view. But be prepared for a hike!
2. Tagajo Castle - relatively peaceful in the late afternoons. Perfect for family photo sessions with a selection of sakura trees to choose from.
3. Shichighama Historical Museum - a secret location that boasts of beautiful mountain sakura (always last to arrive). No crowds, just peace and beauty.
4. Shiogama Shrine - if you haven't had your photos taken yet, wait to the very end of the season once the crowds disappear and sit under the most beautiful sakura tree near the entrance.
Those are my top 4 favourites. Meet me there and let's not be strangers anymore :-)

It's not easy being a princess, but this little 3 year old cutie does it perfectly.
